Current Reading Material

Food for thought. What are you reading this summer? My current list below with 20 more books waiting on the shelf.

The First 90 Days by Michael Watkins

I picked this book up last summer, but haven’t had the chance to read it. I’m about 1/2 way through it at the moment and it is fabulous. Whether you’re going through career transition or a job change, read this book! I picked it up last summer to help me ramp up a new leader joining our team. She had already read The First 90 Days prior to getting the job and relied on it as she prepped for her first 90 days on our team. It’s a great read, and I should have read it last year!

Tribal Leadership by Dave Logan, John King, Halee Fischer-Wright

This is a great book on how teams work in an organization. Every company has a culture and every tribe (team) in that company has its own culture. To be successful as a leader, the tribe has to accept you. Otherwise, you fail. I’m about 1/2 way through this book, and it’s a great read so far.

Made to Stick by Chip and Dan Heath

Haven’t started this book yet. It comes highly recommended from several friends Ben Forrest, thoughts on Chip and Dan Heath, and Kraig McNutt.
