Hosting Adobe ColdFusion Tour

I need to commend our development team for the great things they’ve done to support and impact local technology in Nashville. Jon Shearer, Dave Ramsey’s Executive Director of Internet Development, and his merry band of 30 hosted one of Adobe’s ColdFusion Tour stops for the Nashville ColdFusion User’s Group.

About the Event It was great to be able to host the event at our new conference center. Unfortunately we weren’t able to pack it out (300 seats), but we still had a sizeable turnout with 50 attendees.

Greg Wilson, our Adobe Evangelist, brought tons of swag for Aaron and JJ to give away! Matthew Ensor, one of our dev team leaders, won an Adobe Master Collection Software pack! Dave Ramsey also provided some gifts including a copy of his High Performance Achievement CD, a Go Green Use Cash T-Shirt, and a white Dave Ramsey Show coffee mug.

It was a great time, and it was fabulous to see some of the new features that will be included with the new release of ColdFusion. Aaron West, Nashville ColdFusion User Group’s Manager, has done a great job of keeping the group together and providing a great resource for the local programmers.

We’ve been using ColdFusion as our platform for over 10 years, so it is very nice to see the product continue to mature as our online and enterprise needs continue to evolve.

We snapped a few photos which I’ll post later. Kelly Poe our QA leader filmed some of the event on a Flip Video camera.
